Firstly, can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Isaac Jose (@ixaasscootz) I am 12 years old, I live in Bournemouth on the south coast of England. I ride for Slamm scooters and love all sports. My local skatepark is Prevail. Last year I was stoked to compete in a scooter competition in Barcelona.
How long have you been scootering and what got you into the sport initially?
I got my first 3-wheeled scooter when I was 18 months old. I started to train and focus on riding when I was 8 years old and won my first big competition - the Scoot GB novice under 12 championship when I was 9. I got into scootering because my sister is a scooter rider so we were trying to learn new tricks together, she is currently UK women's champion her name is @jessscootz.
What achievements are you most proud of?
I am most proud of winning Scoot GB Under 12's Novice at 9 years old, coming 8th in the Junior World Championship in Barcelona last year, and getting sponsored by Slamm. I was also proud that I held a coaching session for younger riders and some of them learnt new tricks.
What do you love most about scootering?
I love the scootering community because everyone’s really friendly we encourage each other to try and land news tricks. I have made lots of friends all over the world through riding. I like the feeling I get from landing a difficult trick, the atmosphere at a competition is electric, and everyone cheers and supports everyone else. I love that I can have lots of new experiences with my Slamm scooter and travel to new places.

Who are some of your favourite riders (inspiration)?
My favourite rider is Jayden Sharman, I love his crazy tricks and he has a good flow. I would love it if he taught me to flare.
Why is Slamm a great fit for you?
This is my first time being sponsored by a scooter company so I’m learning how to manage my social media with my sister’s help. The people at Slamm are understanding and kind to me and listen to my ideas.

What do you like most about Slamm Scooters?
I love the scooters they look fun and stylish, and have bright colours so you can stand out at your local skatepark. Slamm scooters are hardwearing and good for shredding all day. I am currently riding the Slamm X-Edition that is celebrating the Slamm 10-year anniversary. I love the smiley face on the side of the deck, it looks cool.
What are your next steps in the scootering world?
Progression, I would like to learn to flare and lots of new tricks, I would like to qualify for the world champs in September in Barcelona and beat my previous placing.
What are your favourite tricks, and what are you currently trying to learn?
My favourite tricks Backflip and six whips are my favourite tricks, and I am trying to learn flares at the moment
Do you have an interesting fact about yourself?
I have broken five bones in my life and managed to take the bronze medal at the 2022 Wales Urban Games with a broken toe! I also play football and my team won the best team in the UK for the Junior Premier League.
